What is Expressive Arts Therapy?
Expressive Art Therapy uses the creative arts as part of therapy. This includes using art, music and writing into counselling. You don’t have to be an artist! It’s the process of creation that is important and not the final product. People can heal through various forms creating expression. It is an opportunity to tap into the imagination, to examine the body, feelings, emotions and our thoughts.
What to Expect
We can use expressive arts as the primary focus of your therapy or as part of your therapy session. You are invited to have arts supplies for your session. This could include paper, paint and paint brushes, markers, crayons, items for collage, clay etc.
